Lessons will start with warm ups and then proceed onto practising pieces the student wants to sing. Throughout lessons we may work on: supporting the breath, reducing tension in the body, range extension, performance technique (including musical interpretation), vocal health and projection. I believe in working with the student. Trying to understand how their voice and body feel whilst they sing is key to their progression. Although I will mainly teach individuals on the basis of singing solos, if the student wants to work on harmonies in lessons we will do so, and work on training the musical ear. The content of lessons is down to the individual and I am flexible to help in areas that they feel the need to work on.
